Most peonies purchased from massive retailers take 2-4 years to bloom. Most of ours should bloom the first season. Larger roots establish quickly making for a stronger, healthier plant from the soil up.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere are peonies we grow for cuts in the Southeast. These varieties perform particularly well for us. Holland farm dug! These are monster 4-5 eye roots that come to us in large crates. Our quality is not available from mass market retailers. When shopping for peonies look for \"eye count\". Eyes are the buds from which stems will grow. 2\/3 eyes will not bloom for several seasons and take much longer to become established. Most of ours will bloom first year. Always compare eye count when shopping for peonies and KNOW what you are getting. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePeonies ship October\/November and do their best if PLANTED IN FALL in warm climates.
