Truly ebony! Glossy, stately and elegant come to mind. We trialled only 20 of these last year and wished we had hundreds more. The outer petals are an even deeper shade than the bloom. Weeks earlier than Queen of Night. Surprisingly amazing with peaches, oranges, pinks, daffodils. Amazing with any of the blues or lilacs. Just about anything goes with this sultry tulip.
Tulips grow best in zones 4-7 where colder winters are more common. When planting outdoors most classes of tulips do not return every year, with the exception of the Darwin Hybrids and species. We grow them in pots and crates and compost the bulbs after they bloom.
Triumph. Mid. 20" stem length. Contains 15 bulbs.
