Strong stems and maroon/crimson almost black large blooms combine gorgeously with yellow, orange, pink and lavender. Likely to bloom around the same time as some of the show offs such as Parrot and Double Late/Peony tulips. And super cute with late blooming cluster daffs . A vase full of Ronaldo, Alibi, Siesta and Silver Cloud? Wow!
Tulips grow best in zones 4-7 where colder winters are more common. When planting outdoors most classes of tulips do not return every year, with the exception of the Darwin Hybrids and species. We grow them in pots and crates and compost the bulbs after they bloom.
