We recommend chilling tulips in Zone 7 and up. You can easily chill them yourself or purchase pre chilled tulips from us. We ship prechilled bulbs at the end of December early January for immediate planting in your area. As long as your ground doesn't freeze you can plant them but please prepare your planting area in autumn when the weather is nice. You'll be so glad you did.

For coaxing, choose early varieties or see our ready kits, they need less chill. For chilling and planting outdoors in zones above 7 choose early varieties too.
