Lily flowering tulips are the epitome of grace and elegance. Their stems are surprisingly strong for such a delicate appearance. We grew a few of these last year for the first time and ordered a few hundred this year. Rich, deep coral pink with pointed petals Mariette is stunning with any pastel. Striking with white tulips or daffs.
Tulips grow best in zones 4-7 where colder winters are more common. When planting outdoors most classes of tulips do not return every year, with the exception of the Darwin Hybrids and species. We grow them in pots and crates and compost the bulbs after they bloom.
